Patrick Ta made a stunning debut at New York Fashion Week, partnering with Monse to bring his signature glow to the runway for the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Known for his work with A-list celebrities, this marks the first time Patrick Ta Beauty graced the NYFW runway, aligning perfectly with Monse’s effortlessly cool and classic aesthetic.
"Seeing the creative synergy between fashion and beauty come to life has been an inspiring experience," Patrick said in an interview with Forbes.. "There’s something magical about seeing your vision unfold on the runway—it’s always been a dream of mine, and I’m so honored to call it reality now."
The Vision: Fresh-Faced Glow Meets High Fashion
Patrick Ta collaborated closely with Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia to create a look that complemented the brand’s sporty and edgy collection. The goal was to enhance natural beauty while maintaining a fresh, radiant vibe that matched Monse’s modern, confident energy.
"I've always admired Monse's approach to design—it's confident, structured, yet effortlessly cool, which felt like it aligned with my own makeup aesthetic," says Patrick. "Working with Monse, a brand that captures the essence of powerful, confident women who aren’t afraid to showcase bold self-expression, seemed perfectly aligned with what I aspire my own brand to do for women."
The Makeup: Luminous Skin & Tomboy Blush
Patrick kicked off the looks with theMajor Skin Hydra Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation, designed to enhance the models' natural glow with light-to-medium coverage for a less-is-more look. This foundation was the real MVP, providing a dewy, skin-like base perfect for runway lights, thanks to its serum-inspired formula featuring hyaluronic acid and squalane.
For the cheeks, Patrick introduced his signature Tomboy Blush technique, using the Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo in shades like Not Too Much, She’s Flushed, and She’s Wanted. By applying blush higher on the cheeks and sweeping it across the bridge of the nose, Patrick created a youthful, sun-kissed effect that added a playful touch to the models' looks. "This technique gives that ‘just been outside’ look—fresh, vibrant, and effortlessly chic," Patrick notes.
Brows played a defining role in the makeup, sculpted with the clear Major Brow Lamination Gel and shaped using the Major Brow Defining Pencil, perfectly tailored to each model's hair color. Lips were kept plump and glossy with Major Volume Plumping Gloss in Looks Natural, while the Major Glow Balm in She’s Glossy provided the finishing touch, adding an all-over glow that looked fresh and natural.
